BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the stabbing death of his neighbor, whose body was a found beneath a railroad bridge between Winooski and Burlington.

Twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Whalon changed his plea on Friday in the death of 54-year-old Ralph Bell in July of 2011.

Police affidavits say the two men were tenants of the same apartment house and were involved in some kind of intimate relationship.



Defense Robert Katims told the Burlington Free Press that (https://bfpne.ws/1ewZdvB) Whalon recently decided to plead guilty and “take responsibility” for the crime.
