Sentencing for former Coventry day care owner

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) - The former owner of a day care center in Coventry is set to be sentenced for child molestation.

WPRI-TV (https://bit.ly/1hq4dH9 ) reports that 68-year-old David Lyons is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday after being convicted in January on three counts of child molestation.

Lyons was accused of molesting three children. He was arrested on 2011 after an 11-year-old girl told her mother he had molested her.

He ran the day care with his wife. It was closed down following an investigation by the state Department of Children, Youth and Families.
