MINEOLA, N.Y. (AP) - Long Island’s Nassau County police department has revamped its website to make it more user-friendly.

The new look was launched Thursday.

According to Newsday (https://bit.ly/1hxYiku ), new features include an online pistol license renewal system and public access to car accident reports.



The new website also has precinct-specific information about road closures and community events.

News releases and wanted posters previously available to the news media only will now be accessible to the public.
