GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A rainy weekend has led to bacteria levels in Coast waters. Several water advisories have been issued in the past week, and two more were issued on Thursday.

The state Department of Environmental Quality there is more risk of illness from swimming in Long Beach from Oak Gardens Ave. to Girard Ave. and in Gulfport from Marie Ave. to Camp Ave.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1oSxI9v ) advisories have been lifted for Biloxi from Travia Ave. to Iberville Dr., Bay St. Louis from the box culvert to Ballantine St. and in Gulfport from 20th Ave. to Thornton Ave. and Courthouse Road to Tegarden Road.
