PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run accident that injured two adults and a child last weekend in Peoria.

Maricopa County sheriff’s officials say 32-year-old Eric Nunez was booked into jail Friday on suspicion of five felony charges, including fleeing the scene of an accident.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney yet.

Detectives say Nunez allegedly was driving the pickup truck that struck three pedestrians on Saturday night.

A man and a 6-year-old boy weren’t seriously injured but authorities say the child’s mother remains hospitalized in fair condition.

The three were walking their bicycles in the dirt area of the west shoulder when they were hit.

Detectives found the truck on Wednesday and that led to Nunez’s arrest in the case.
