DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. (AP) - Mississippi authorities say the man who robbed a Diamondhead bank was driving Nissan believed to have been used in recent bank heists in other states.
Glenn Grannan, Hancock County sheriff’s chief investigator, tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/QcryS3 ) the car had a switched or stolen license plate, which may have changed again.
Grannan says the man walked into the Hancock Bank branch, north of Interstate 10, about 5 p.m. He wore a hat, kept his head down and handed a teller a note.
Grannan says the robber only made off with $250.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
