BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - An East Baton Rouge Parish jury has acquittal Deandre Galmon in the 2010 beating death of a Baton Rouge man.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1gk0t9a ) the 26-year-old Galmon was found not guilty Friday of second-degree murder in the death of Ricky Wilson. If convicted, he would have faced a mandatory sentence of life in prison.

Galmon’s brother, 20-year-old Desmond Galmon, who was 16 at the time of Wilson’s death, is scheduled to stand trial July 14 for second-degree murder. The younger Galmon remains in jail.

Authorities say Wilson was killed during a robbery. His body was found Aug. 14, 2010, under a bridge.
