CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - Faulkner County authorities have arrested a former deputy after the man allegedly tried to meet two children for sex.

The agency says 30-year-old Josh George of Guy was arrested Thursday at a grocery store parking lot, where he allegedly agreed to meet a woman who said she’d make her two young cousins available for sex.

Police say it was a sting arranged by the Faulkner County criminal investigations department and no children were involved.

George had worked as a Faulkner County deputy and has since become a Community Corrections Department officer. He’s also a part-time police officer in Guy.

The Log Cabin Democrat reports (https://is.gd/2RxZhJ ) a judge ordered George held until at least a Monday court hearing. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
