Escaped suspect captured in Wahiawa

HONOLULU (AP) - Honolulu police have captured a theft suspect who escaped from custody in Wahiawa.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://is.gd/hFmhEV ) reports the handcuffed man ran off after slipping out of custody Thursday afternoon.

Police say the man ran from Wahiawa General Hospital and was on the loose for about 20 minutes.

Police say officers canvassed the area and found the man several blocks from the hospital.
