BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - Beaumont police are looking for tips in their investigation of a shooting that left a 22-year-old woman dead after a minor traffic wreck more than a week ago.

Funeral services are set for Saturday for 22-year-old Dominique Reed, who was gunned down after a fender-bender collision about 4:30 a.m. on April 3.

Police say the gunman was armed with a rifle. The Beaumont Enterprise says (https://bit.ly/1oTchoV ) he’s described as short, heavyset, Hispanic in appearance and with an eye abnormality.

A passer-by who stopped to help at the scene also was shot and wounded. A passenger in Reed’s car avoided gunfire and called police. Officers searched the neighborhood but their investigation has stalled.
