DONALDSONVILLE, La. (AP) - Authorities say six Donaldsonville men were taken to Prevost Memorial Hospital on Thursday within a two-hour time frame after smoking a synthetic marijuana drug called “Happy 2.”

Chief Tony Bacala of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release received by The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1qEF5gz ) four men were being treated late Thursday and two men have been released.

Bacala says narcotics detectives are investigating the matter.
