RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) - Police say four people were wounded in a hail of gunfire from a passing car in an eastern Indiana city.

Richmond police Capt. Jim Branum says investigators found 15 shell casings at the scene of Thursday night’s shooting in a neighborhood northeast of the city’s downtown area.

The Palladium-Item reports (https://pinews.co/1kbxoy2 ) that one of those wounded underwent surgery at Reid Hospital in Richmond, while the other three were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Branum says witnesses told investigators that a dark-colored car drove by slowly as the shooter fired at the victims.

No arrests were immediately made as officers searched for the car and the three men who witnesses saw inside it.
