WAYNE, N.J. (AP) - State inspectors are on the scene of a partial collapse of a parking garage under construction on New Jersey’s William Paterson University, injuring two workers.

University public relations director Mary Beth Zeman (ZEE’-man) says one section of a precast slab on concrete fell on another around 7:45 a.m. Friday.

Zeman says two construction workers were taken to a hospital with what she described as injuries that were not life-threatening.

State inspectors will decide if work can resume on the five-level garage on the Wayne campus. It will have 1,000 parking spaces and is scheduled to be finished in the summer.
