COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado transportation officials are pointing parents to an online resource aimed at limiting the risks associated with teen driving.

The Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado Teen Driving Alliance say the free online course for parents focuses on enforcing safe driving practices and limiting distractions.

The course was created after a Colorado Department of Public Health survey showed only 6.4 percent of 700 parents of teens throughout Colorado could accurately identify components of the graduated driver licensing law.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1lOjG47) the law covers curfew times, seat belt usage, the number of passengers allowed and a ban on all cellphone use.
