OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Oakland police say a man lured a 6-year-old girl away from an Oakland elementary school and then sexually assaulted her.

Police are looking into whether the incident is connected to two other sexual assaults that have occurred around Oakland schools since January.

Officer Frank Bonifacio says the latest incident occurred Friday afternoon. The girl was lured away from Bella Vista Elementary School and then assaulted about a block away. Bonifacio declined to say how the girl was assaulted.

The girl returned to school and told an adult, who called police. Police have released a description of the suspect, and say he may have a tattoo of a horse on his calf.
