MILTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Milton man accused of stealing cattle from a slaughterhouse has been charged with grand larceny.

Media outlets report that 37-year-old Walter D. Hayes III was arraigned Monday by a Cabell County magistrate.

Workers at Andy’s Custom Meats in Ona discovered 10 cattle were missing on March 24.

Police say seven cattle were found at a cattle auction in Mount Sterling, Ky. Three others were found on Haye’s farm.

The cattle have been returned to their owners.
