EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - A southern Illinois man is accused of driving with a revoked license for a seventh time since 1987.

The (Alton) Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1gXEy9D ) reports that Madison County prosecutors charged 52-year-old Jeffrey A. Martin of Granite City with the felony traffic offense on Monday.

Sheriff’s investigators say a deputy who stopped Martin for illegal lane usage in Granite City found he did not have a valid license. At the time, Martin was being sought on an outstanding felony warrant for driving with a revoked license.

Martin lost his license initially after a 1987 conviction of driving under the influence.

Martin remained jailed Tuesday in Edwardsville on $45,000 bond.

Online court records do not show whether he has an attorney.
