A U.S. Navy helicopter has crashed in the Red Sea, and a search is underway for five crew members aboard, The Associated Press reported.

The MH-60S Knighthawk went down Sunday in the central Red Sea while operating with the destroyer USS William P. Lawrence, the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet said in a statement.

There was no hostile activity involved, though an investigation is underway, the Navy said.
