The 71st annual Golden Globe Awards will honor Woody Allen for his contributions to filmmaking, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Friday.
The 77-year-old actor, writer and director will receive the 2014 Cecil B. DeMille Award at the ceremony on Jan. 12, The Associated Press reported.
Morgan Freeman, Dustin Hoffman and Al Pacino are previous recipients of the award.
Mr. Allen’s latest films include “To Rome With Love,” which earned a nomination for Best Foreign Film, and “Midnight in Paris,” which won a Golden Globe and an Academy Award for its screenplay last year.
