A spokesman for Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport said air traffic has resumed Thursday after all flights were grounded in the afternoon due to a possible lightning strike.
The airport tweeted at about 4:45 p.m. that two runways remain closed, but all flights are expected to resume about 6 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued across Central Maryland until 10 p.m.
