A Texas Girl Scout troop has been trying frantically to sell 6,000 boxes of cookies after their troop leader made an ordering error.
Troop 1497 of San Antonio, which consists of only five girls, has to pay up by Monday, or the debt will be handed over to a collection agency, KENS 5 reports.
The troop leader resigned after making the order, leaving the girls with close to $22,000 in debt.
Keisha Hopper, whose first-grader is in the troop, said the girls were able to hand off 200 cases to other troops and have been selling boxes like crazy, KENS 5 reports.
As of Wednesday, the girls had only 588 boxes left to sell — a debt of $2,147.79.
