(AP) — A Laurel man fatally shot his wife and his adult step-daughter Monday, Prince George’s County police said.
Police said Ronnie Lee Rainey, 59, called 911 around 10 a.m. Monday to say he had killed relatives and he then threatened to kill himself. Police said he shot at his teenage soon, but the boy was able to escape unharmed.
Police identified the victims as 50-year-old Lisa Renee Rainey and 27-year-old Ariale Chantre Shelton.
Mr. Rainey barricaded himself inside the home on Malcolm Drive, but police said officers on the scene and 911 dispatchers were able to convince him to surrender. Police said another man was in the house and was unharmed.
Police did not share any information about a possible motive.
