Morality police in Saudi Arabia raided a hotel party where nearly 100 girls were participating in a contest for the most beautiful “tomboy,” Emirates 24/7 reported.
Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice raided the party at the hotel in Khobar and arrested most of the women, said Sabq, an Arabic-language daily.
Authorities also seized a large quantity of energy drinks, “Satanist” items and the pageant crown, it said.
“The party was staged under the cover of a graduation ceremony. A man and a woman who organised the party were arrested,” it said.
