Some thieves steal armored vehicles filled with bank notes. In Florida, they apparently steal trucks filled with $120,000 worth of Hershey’s chocolate.
Truck driver Kenneth Szorosy called 911 on Sunday after his cargo disappeared from a truck center along Florida’s International Speedway Boulevard in DeLand, a local station reported:
“911 Operator: When was the last time you saw it?
Â
“Driver: Three o’clock yesterday [Saturday] was the last time I saw the truck. It’s hooked to a trailer as well, fully loaded, with chocolate.

“911 Operator: Fully loaded with chocolate, huh?
Â
“Driver: Yeah, someone with a sweet tooth.
Â
“911 Operator: Well, you know, maybe that’s what they were going for. Who knows?”
Authorities say the truck alone is worth $90,000, the local station reported. Surveillance camera footage has not been released, even though a sign outside the truck center indicates it is monitored around the clock.
