A Tennessee mother is planning a “nurse in” at a Turkey Creek Chik-fil-A because she’s outraged an employee told her not to breastfeed in the play area last weekend, The Blaze reported.
Jennifer Day of Turkey Creek said she was approached by an employee who said “some of the other parents were afraid of allowing their kids to play in the play area while I was feeding her, especially without any cover,” WBIR-TV reported.
Tennessee law allows women to breastfeed in any public or private place she is authorized to be.
On Tuesday, a Chik-fil-A spokesperson said the manager at that restaurant “has apologized and regrets any offense he may have caused.”
The “nurse in” is planned for Wednesday at the same Chick-Fil-A, the station said.
The Blaze reported that Chick-fil-A has asked a breastfeeding mother to cover up in the past.

In 2009, a mother was breastfeeding in the play area when a manager offered towels for her to cover up, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The restaurant later apologized.
