Fairfax County Police confirmed Wednesday that the remains found in the woods at Thaiss Park belong to a high school student who had been missing for a week.
A volunteer canvassing the park where 17-year-old Bryan Glenn parked his car found the remains on Monday. His parents immediately identified the remains as their son.
The WT Woodson High School student was last seen Oct. 1 dropping his younger brother off at school.
The state medical examiner will determine the teen’s cause and manner of death.
