ASHBURN, Va. (AP) – The principal of an elementary school in Ashburn has been killed in a traffic accident near her home.
The Loudoun County school district announced the death of Kathleen Hwang in a statement Friday. The statement says she died Wednesday. The school system did not provide details of the accident.
Crisis counselors will be on hand when Sanders Corner Elementary School reopens on Monday. Ms. Hwang had been principal there since 2005.
