Authorities have charged a Lanham man with attempted murder after they say he stabbed another man during an argument about a picture that had been posted on the Internet.
Arturo Cazares-Perea was charged with attempted second-degree murder for the Nov. 4 stabbing of a man in New Carrollton. The two had argued over a picture posted online, said officials from the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Cazares-Perea was arrested on Thursday but released on bond Saturday, according to Maryland court records.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in the case for Dec. 11. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Mr. Cazares-Perea also faces charges of first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.
No attorney was listed as representing Mr. Cazares-Perea in online court records.
