Three people were shot Tuesday night in Northeast D.C.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of Benning Road Northeast.

Early reports from emergency personnel indicate that one person was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and that the two others suffered serious injuries.
