A Chillum man was killed early Sunday in a two-car collision, Prince George’s County Police said.

Bernard Coatley Jr., 40, of the 5600 block of Parkerhouse Terrace, died when his car was struck by another vehicle driven by a 21-year-old man.

According to police, at about 3:06 a.m., the second driver was headed northbound on Baltimore Avenue when Coatley failed to yield to the right-of-way and made a left turn.

The second driver and a front-seat passenger suffered minor injuries. A second passenger in that car was uninjured.

Police said speed and alcohol were both factors in the crash.
