Our combat troops and many pro-American supporters have been endangered by national security leaks, according to Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and other senators.

An important source in Yemen who saved a U.S. airliner from destruction by the al Qaeda underwear bomber several years ago has been compromised by our national security leaks. The Pakistani doctor who provided Osama bin Laden’s DNA for the SEAL Team operation has been also compromised, and he has reportedly been tortured and imprisoned because of leaks by U.S. officials.

Details of President Obama’s “kill list” are being leaked, letting those who are on the list know it. The element of surprise for many other, future operations has also been lost and these operations may now have to be terminated or delayed. Some reliable intelligence sources are quitting and probably no doctor will work with us to verify a terrorist’s DNA in the future for fear of compromise and retaliation. Nor will our allies share their information about cyberwarfare and other important issues. Politically convenient release of classified operational information hurts national security.
