Skeletal remains were discovered in a wooded area in Manassas, Prince William County police announced Thursday.

The remains were discovered in a wooded area behind a home in the 14900 block of Yolanda Lane. The bones were taken to the office of the medical examiner for further analysis.

The remains appear to be from an adult, but police were unable to provide any other details on Thursday.
