A Capitol Heights man was arrested and charged with killing his housemate in an argument over food on Saturday.
Travis Everett Hoskins, 19, was arrested in Washington, D.C. and will face a charge of first-degree murder when he is extradited to Prince George’s County, according to the Prince George’s County police department blog.
According to police, Mr. Hoskins shot and killed his housemate, 29-year-old Oliver Gregson Davis, just before 2 p.m. Saturday. The men were arguing over food in their home on the 700 block of Glacier Avenue, when police say Mr. Hoskins got a gun to fatally shoot Mr. Davis.
Police responded to a report of a gunshot, and Mr. Hoskins fled the scene, the department’s blog says. Mr. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.
