SOUTH BEND, IND. (AP) - South Florida and Notre Dame have resumed play following a second delay because of severe weather.

The game was held up with 4:21 remaining and for the second time officials asked fans to evacuate the stadium with lightning around the facility. South Florida was leading 23-13 at time. The delay lasted 43 minutes.

The teams had an extended halftime of 2 hours, 10 minutes and the stadium was evacuated as two storms with heavy lightning hit South Bend. South Florida led 16-0 at the half.
