D.C. police have charged a Northwest man in connection with the double killing in Columbia Heights this summer during a curbside dice game.

The Metropolitan Police Department announces that an arrest has been made in the double homicide shooting of 31-year-old Dominique Barber, and 32-year-old Jimmie Lee Simmons, and the shooting of 21-year-old Anthony Lamont Thomas that occurred on July 9 in the 1400 block of Parkwood Place Northwest,” according to the Prince of Petworth blog.

Mr. Irving Harris Johnson, of Northwest, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder while armed, and one count of assault with intent to kill while armed. Mr. Johnson was arrested this morning by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
