In a story Oct. 6 about pancreatic cancer, The Associated Press, relying on incorrect information on an American Cancer Society website, reported erroneously that cases have been declining. Since 1998, incidence rates of pancreatic cancer have been increasing by roughly 1 percent per year, and the cancer society has changed its website to reflect this most recent trend.
