It is amazing how many politicians apparently believe that a few states should be allowed greater influence in the nominating process than the others by always having their primary elections earlier than the rest.

It is equally amazing that the rest of the states allow them to get away with this undemocratic behavior. The voters in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida are certainly not more important or knowledgeable than those who live in the rest of the country.

It is time for a random lottery or a “first is now last” policy for primary dates.
