CALDWELL, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio teenager charged with aggravated murder in a deadly Craigslist robbery scheme has had a hearing postponed on whether he should be tried as an adult.
The 16-year-old boy appeared briefly in Noble County court Tuesday. He looked stunned as a juvenile judge postponed the hearing.
Police have linked two deaths and a nonfatal shooting to the scheme, which sought workers for a nonexistent cattle farm in southeastern Ohio. Officials haven’t said whether a third body found Friday in the county is connected to the scheme.
The teen, from Akron, was taken into custody two weeks ago after interviews with the FBI.
A second suspect, a man who served as a mentor to the teen, is in jail on unrelated charges.
