ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An airport spokesman said a Delta Air Lines flight from Detroit to San Diego that was diverted to Albuquerque on Sunday has been cleared to take off again after authorities investigated a “potential security threat.”
Albuquerque International Sunport spokesman Daniel Jiron said the 107 passengers aboard the flight were interviewed, as was the crew. He said passengers would be allowed to continue their trip.
Mr. Jiron has declined to specify the nature of the potential threat. FBI spokesman Frank Fisher also declined to clarify.
The flight was diverted at 10 a.m. MDT. Mr. Jiron said it was cleared to fly again around 12:30 p.m. but doesn’t know what time the plane would depart.
