Prince George’s County police on Saturday announced arrests in the March killing of a D.C. man.

Frederick Scott, 24, of the 1900 block of Oliver Street in Hyattsville, was arrested May 5 in Las Vegas and is awaiting extradition back to Prince George’s County.

Malik Huff, 24, of the 5600 block of Cypress Creek Drive in Hyattsville, was arrested early Friday in Prince George’s County and is being held without bond at the county jail.

Authorities say the men were wanted in connection with the killing of Phillip Jared Watson, 30, of the 4300 block of Varnum Place in Northeast D.C.

Police say officers responded at about 1:03 a.m. March 4 to the Surf Club, in the 4700 block of Kenilworth Avenue, for a report of a shooting. They found Watson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives say the incident stemmed from an altercation between the victim and the suspects inside the club prior to the shooting.
