NEW YORK (AP) - The invitation to a 1960s New York City “Happening” was intriguing: Pay $10 to enter a lottery for a key to a Penn Station locker containing a work of art.

For a New York secretary attending the 1965 event, the key revealed a Roy Lichtenstein (LIHK’-tehn-styn) drawing.

On May 11, Christie’s auction house will offer the work. Its pre-sale estimate is $800,000 to $1.2 million.

“Kiss V” is a small study for one of Lichtenstein’s major paintings of the same name.

It’s a comic book-inspired close-up of a man and woman, executed in graphite and wax crayon.
