NEW YORK (AP) - A debut novel by Austin Ratner has received a $100,000 prize.

The Jewish Book Council announced Tuesday that Ratner’s “The Jump Artist” won the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature. “The Jump Artist” was published by Bellevue Literary Press, which released last year’s Pulitzer Prize winner for fiction, Paul Harding’s “Tinkers.”
