STORRS, CONN. (AP) - Top-seeded Connecticut will face a familiar foe in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The Hartford Hawks and coach Jen Rizzotti will travel to Storrs to play No. 1 UConn (32-1) on Sunday.
UConn is attempting to win its eighth national title, and third in a row.
Hartford (17-15) was the surprise winner of the America East tournament. The Hawks began the season 1-9, but won 11 of their last 12, and five in a row.
Connecticut is a No. 1 seed in the tournament for the 14th time, and the fifth year in a row. The Huskies have won six of their seven national championships as a top seed, including their first in 1995, when Rizzotti was a guard for Geno Auriemma.
Auriemma is 11-0 against Hartford.
