A tow truck driver was found fatally shot Tuesday night in Oxon Hill, Prince George’s County police said.

A passing motorist discovered Anton DeMichael Agurs, 43, lying in the roadway of an entrance to Oxon Hill Farm, just off the Capital Beltway at around 11:30 p.m.

Police said Mr. Agurs, of the 1700 block of Gould Street in Capitol Heights, was found near his tow truck. A police spokesman was unsure if Mr. Agurs had responded to the area to pick up a car but said investigators were looking into the matter as part of their investigation.

No suspects have been identified in the slaying.
