Metropolitan Police said a man was fatally stabbed and a woman was arrested for the crime early Thursday.

Officers responded at about 1:05 a.m. Thursday to the 700 block of 24th Street in Northeast to investigate a stabbing. They found 36 year-old Lamont Warren of Northeast unconscious and suffering from a stab wound.

Emergency medical workers transported Mr. Warren to a local area hospital, where the man died a short time later.



At about 4:30 a.m., Patricia Ann Cave, 49, of Northeast, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed in connection with the stabbing.
