OPINION:
The proposed Middle East peace plan known as the “road map” - which would separate Israel from any future Palestinian state - is once again on the negotiating table. It’s a questionable proposal, doomed to failure.
The Palestinians are divided into the Palestinian Authority and Hamas. Both refuse to change their charter and recognize Israel. This would be the foundation to any lasting peace in the region.
Any agreement must be accepted by all, but these two factions can’t come to terms with each other - except for vowing the elimination of Israel and the Jewish people. Neither faction is an honest peace broker and both continue their brutal campaigns of hatred, incitement, terrorism and violence. Their actions speak louder than words. The “road map” is thus deceptive, delusional and nothing more than a Middle East mirage.
