NEW YORK (AP) - In a Dec. 7 story about Barbara Walters’ interview with Syrian President Bashar Assad, The Associated Press misquoted Assad based on an incorrect transcript provided by ABC News. When asked about the torture of children, Assad said, “You don’t live here.” He did not say, “I don’t believe you.”
