LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Law enforcement officials are continuing their crackdown on drunken driving across Michigan for the New Year’s holiday weekend. Michigan State Police say more than 165 law enforcement agencies will continue stepped up enforcement during the final week of the “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest.” enforcement campaign. The increased enforcement runs through Monday. The holiday enforcement initiative began Dec. 16 and is being paid for with federal traffic safety funds administered by the Office of Highway Safety Planning. Officers will be on patrol in many counties around the state as part of the effort.
