NEW YORK (AP) — Former Rep. Anthony Weiner, New York Democrat, is ending a rough year with some good news.
A spokeswoman on Thursday said Mr. Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, welcomed son Jordan Zain Weiner on Wednesday.
Mr. Weiner resigned from Congress in June amid outrage over sexually explicit emails and social media postings involving a former porn actress and other women. Republican Bob Turner won a special election to represent Mr. Weiner’s Brooklyn-Queens district.
Ms. Abedin is a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Mr. Weiner and Ms. Abedin married in July 2010. Jordan is their first child.
