A Palmer Park man died Wednesday evening after he was found unconscious and injured in front of a home in the Landover area around 5 a.m., Prince George’s County police said.

A resident called police early Wednesday to report an unconscious man laying in front of a house in the 6700 block of Old Landover Road. When police arrived, they found Jerry Junior Neal, 58, of the 7700 block of Penbrook Place, suffering from trauma to his upper body. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and died around 5 p.m.

Police are investigating the death as a homicide. No further information was available about the case Thursday.
